Mon dieu et sacre bleu! New Yorkers are sucking up "homemade absinthe" cocktails...based on an old favorite (Earthquake)

Louis XIII cognac + coat glass with "homemade absinthe" + set fire to absinthe + Iranian saffron oil + "high end ice cube" (from an ice sculpture) = The Icarus = $160

The dude that is making the cocktail says of absinthe that setting it alight "bring out the botanical notes of the fennell-based spirit and create a caramelized coating"
