I live in one of the strictest alcohol counties left in in one of the strictest alcohol states. In Lauderdale County, Alabama, alcohol purchases are not allowed on Sundays, and one cannot have a personal order of alcohol shipped to the state, stuff like that. I would like to get my hands on some decent, legitimate, imported absinthe that best lives up to the hype. I have some domestic Mephisto and Lucid (and the glass and spoon set) but, after reading this site, I am not as excited about trying them as I was. I am not inclined to break any laws, but I don't mind bending a few -- or perhaps even find some clever ways through the laws. Anyway....any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

There are two really great American absinthes - Walton Waters and Meadow of Love. Try them out.

I lived in Alabama for 3 years and I'm quite familiar with it's restrictions on liquor and alcohol in general. After three years I hit on a solution. I moved to Florida.
