Guys, I just bought a bottle of absinthe and poured last night but it wasn't green! Should absinthe be green or what? It did turn white when I washed it with water and tasted like licorice. Where do I get the green absinthe?

You must be color blind, all absinthe is green. PS look up the meanings of verte and blanche.

"but it wasn't green!" What colour was it? I suppose clear, right? It is a form of absinthe that does not use any color. You can get green absinthe (verte) almost anywhere...where are you located, Roger?

So you got yourself a blanche. Did you see Lucid or Le Tourment Verte in your local store?

Le Tourment Verte is more blue than green, but it tastes minty.
