Cool website. Where can I find absinthe in India please? I have looked everywhere and no luck at all. Do I need to order it online and does anyone have any experience of importing? Thanks.

I really have no idea Robby. I was hoping someone else might answer this... Anyone knows?? I guess you could ask a few online dealers if they've ever shipped to India and what the policy/procedure is.

"its still and illegal drug, the original Absinthe as many may know is still restricted"
No, that is not true actually. The fact that it is not widely available in India does not mean that it is restricted. Perhaps you are talking about thujone levels though, I am not sure what you mean.

"anywhere else u may be cheated"
Oh? The only trustworthy source is Patel Wines is it? Hmmmm.....forgive my cynicism, but do you work there, rahul? What do you mean by 1000 bucks for a peg?
ty9 said on Sat, 9 Jan 2010 at 10:35...
Like a clothes peg? Perhaps it means a shot in India? Old ladies in headscarves with a bunch of lucky heather used to sell clothes pegs, but never absinthe.

I recently bought two bottles of Absinthe from Amsterdam but it was also available in Belgium, Germany and also at Paris Airport duty free but at Paris it was only 55% alcohol the rest of the places you get all brands of Absinthe with levels from 55% to 80% you do not get 95% Absinthe even in Netherlands
apokalips said on Fri, 29 Jan 2010 at 18:01...
the bottles cost around 30 Euros for a 700ml or 70cl

i called up patel wine shop. they were out of stock.
however they said they serve only one brand with72.5% alcohol level.
bottle comes for 4400.
can anyone confirm if they are selling the athentic product -made with wormwood.
I heard czech absinthe do not use wormwood.
also can u suggest any authentic brands. or where can i get Verte/Blanche de Fougerolles or un emile ???
Lamar said on Sun, 21 Feb 2010 at 10:00...
Generally the czech absinthe have less anise (like licorice taste) and lots of wormwood (some people think too much!) The one with 72.5% is Hapsburg absinthe and it is from Bulgarian
VXI Trading said on Wed, 24 Feb 2010 at 08:36...
